For tank mounted drive systems, the superstructure
has horn contacts which align with saddles on each station
in order to properly align the drive gear mechanism.
Bronze saddles are eletricfied to supply current to
a given station.
There are several different types of door closures
utilized on these cylinders. Titanium clamp for single
or split door units, center knob closure for split door,
double knob closure for single door units, and the lever-lock
closure for split doors.
Cylinders can vary in size from 2 X 4
to 24 X 60 depending on your production
requirements.
Polypropylene cylinders can be utilized for most applications.
When polypropylene is incompatible, for chemical processes
operated at high temperatures, stainless steel cylinders
can be provided.
Cylinders used for electroplating, require a flexible,
electrical contact inside the cylinder. These flexible
electrical contacts are known as danglers. Current enters
the barrel through the horns resting in the bronze electrified
saddles and is transferred to the danglers. The danglers
allow for the D.C. current to be drawn through the process
load. This is accomplished when the superstructure is
placed into electrified saddles found on the tank lip.
Please see our section on danglers for additional information.
